Since 2015, Astitva Mahila Samiti has trained over 3,000 tribal, rural, and marginalised women in Tasar silk reeling, spinning, and weaving, helping them earn with dignity.
Astitva Mahila Samiti, Bilaspur, was established in July 2015 under the leadership of its Founder President, Smt. Pooja Verma, to empower underprivileged women from rural, remote, and disadvantaged communities. Through vocational training in Tasar silk, we help women become economically self-reliant, including women inmates who rebuild their lives after release.
Our programs create skills and income for women through Tasar silk, one of India’s finest traditional crafts.

Women inmates receive Tasar silk reeling training and post-release livelihood support, promoting rehabilitation, dignity, and economic independence.
